OUR TEAM

AUSTIN GRANT, Founder & Training Director at Edge Performance in Valdosta, GA.

AUSTIN GRANT, CSCS, EP-C

Founder & Training Director

Austin Grant founded Edge Performance in 2016 to bring structured, high-level training to athletes and adults in Valdosta. With a degree in Exercise Physiology and certifications as a Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist and certified TPI specialist, he focuses on one core principle: consistent, purposeful training delivers lasting results.

Since 2011, Austin has coached athletes from youth to professional levels while helping adults build strength and long-term health. He has served as Head Strength & Conditioning Coach at Valwood since 2016 and brings extensive experience in baseball and football performance training, using a sport-specific approach to help athletes reach the next level.

Austin’s work goes beyond performance—it’s about legacy.

After coming to Valdosta and playing football for one year at Valdosta State University, he transitioned to rugby, where he went on to compete at a high level for over a decade. His 12-year rugby career included playing internationally and against professional teams, giving him a unique, well-rounded perspective on elite performance and athlete development.

As a coach, trainer, husband, and father, Austin is committed to building something that lasts. He believes in developing athletes the right way: with discipline, accountability, and a strong foundation both on and off the field.

Family is at the core of everything he does. Alongside his wife, Morgan, and their three kids—Calvin, Eli, and Sunnie—he’s grounded in the same values he instills in the athletes he trains every day. That perspective shapes his approach, emphasizing consistency, character, and long-term growth.

His mission is to develop not just better athletes but also confident, disciplined individuals built for long-term success.
